      Hello fellow Crossfire Players!
I have some news of our first season with a few changes to keep in mind.
First off, our new Administrators/General Mangers have NOT been chosen yet, so if you wish to be one, please send in an application here or on my recruitment thread on the Official Forums.
Secondly, the entire season has been posted, giving every week and what map they hold. I have not, however, sent out schedules. Those will be given every Thursday from here on out.
Once again, I know you’ve been hearing this a lot, but we cannot stress enough. You MUST record a Growler demo while playing a match. This will weed out most cheaters and hackers easily. Our very own tweak has made a Growler guide that you can view here:
http://www.ironglove.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=567
If you do not use Growler, and are disputed, or asked for a Growler by a Staff Member, then you will be suspended and the match in question will be overturned.
Also, people have been asking me how long you have to play your matches. You have until the Wednesday of that week to play your match. You and your team can also play before match times as well. You can play your match anytime between when matches have been scheduled, until the Wednesday of the week in question. However, if neither team can agree on a time, then it must be played on default time, which is Monday at 8PM EST.
In addition, we will now be implementing a Roster Lock situation. Many of you may have heard of it before, and some may have not, but a Roster Lock is basically what it sounds like, we lock your roster for a temporary time. Roster Locks will begin every Sunday at Midnight and will end at Midnight on Thursday. This way, you cannot hop teams, and you can still add players on Thursday through Saturday.
Lastly, I'd like to thank everyone that has been playing so far! We have a total of 33 teams with 5 or more active players, and that's way more than expected! That being said, we have been noticing quite a bit of forfeits. If you and your team continue to forfeit throughout the season, you WILL be placed under the Inactive or Dead Clan section. The only way back from the section, is to talk to an IGL Admin. The teams that do show up and ready for a match, I have a solution for you and that very frustrating problem. From now on, when you get a forfeit win, talk to an IGL Admin, and we'll set you up with another team that has gained a forfeit win, and you can still play the match for the week! However, it's your choice to take the FF Win or to play it out.

Week 1 AntiCheat
|
Week one marks the first competitive week in league gaming for crossfire. That being said, we will be taking additional measures.
There is a list im comprising of people I know to have cheated, or have become infamous for sketchy behaviour. Particularly, people who have recently changed there IGL member names ( and you know who you are ), or people that have been banned, and continue the sketchy play.
These people will be approached by one of the AC admin immidiently after match results are posted, and growlers and replays will be requested. If you are unable to produce the required material, the game will be overturned, you will have a forfiet on your record, and that person will be IP banned from IGL. We will also monitor new team members after someone has been banned, so don't try and get cute with us.
If you, or someone on your team has sketchy play, Has been called out on cheating by some of the more prominent teams multiple times, or even if you have the slighest thought crossing your mind about someone on your team, inform them of this, cause chances are, they will be one of the people selected. Make sure they have the appropriate files, and that there growler is running. There will be no excuses for not being able to get it to work, you've had multiple weeks.
Any questions can be fielded in our IRC channel, or over xfire, at vn1hit.
Thanks.

Disputes, Match Comms, and Default Time
|
As Preseason continues we just want to make sure that all teams are completely aware of the rules about cheating disputes.
when submitting a dispute, one must archive the saved replay in either a RAR or ZIP format along with a text document explanation of which player you are disputing and why. Please be as specific as possible with disputes, exact rounds, plays, and specific information is appreciated. A simple replay with no explanation of why it was submitted will be most likely be discarded. Each team is only allowed two disputes per season.
i STRONGLY encourage everyone to read the rules section because there seems to be a major misunderstanding.
you do NOT have to play your match on the default time (monday at 8est). Schedules are released every thursday, the scheduler and leader of your team have access to a feature on the website called "match comm". This is used to communicate with the other team so you can schedule a date and time to play your match. However the matches MUST be played by Wednesday of the next week.
So the schedules were released last Thursday and you have to play the match by Wednesday. USE YOUR MATCH COMMS TO SCHEDULE A TIME TO PLAY YOUR MATCH BETWEEN THE DAY THE SCHEDULES ARE RELEASED AND THE WEDNESDAY OF THE NEXT WEEK.
