Ok so here we are hitting the playoffs in what can be a controversial time to be playing DoD. Like with any new journey we must always press on. If you are having trouble playing on a steam server, contact me and I may be able to have one for you to play on, but use this only as your last option. If you have any questions contact me, if its IRC don't just leave me a "you there?" because if I am not then I come back thats all I see. If you have a need or concern or whatnot and I am afk leave whats going on in the pm window and I will read it and get back to you when I return. All seedings were based on head to head performance first,
followed by win/loss performance against mutual opponents. It is not up for debate or discussion with IGL admins it is what it is and thats all that it is.

Update your servers to Steam Dedicated Server v.1.1.2.0
|
I am giving it a go on this Sunday, I need to get this season finished so we can move on. The version I posted is the latest version for steam server and fixes alot of bugs, it is in our file section so make sure you get your server updated to it. You still have till next Wednesday to get your matches played. Any matches not played by Wednesday will be deleted. I want everyone updated and ready by playoffs, as your SteamID and server to be set to steam will be MANDATORY FOR PLAYOFFS. GL and lets get these matches played I have faith in you.

Changing your Wonid To SteamID

This is pretty simple as long as you are logged in, just click the MYINFO Icon up top and change the WonID Numbers to the SteamID numbers. Again the database does not accept letters or : so just put in all the numbers and thats it. IF you are having trouble logging in just leave me the SteamID in a PM on #igl-dod on gamesnet or in an e-mail vegetathebutcher@comcast.net and I will fix it. Leave the information in the PM if I am AFK when I get back I will see and fix it.

Week 10 Postponed Till Next Sunday

Well with all this steam business going on looks like we are going to need more time for the majority of everyones clan to get converted. Make sure your players do so, I will not keep postponing for stubborn people who simply don't want to convert. I am however aware that some people are having problems with it, so I am giving some leway time. Feel free to play your match tonight if you can but there is no pressure to do so. **You have untill Sept. 24 to play your week 10 match.** This is plenty of time to get things done, This includes getting your ID's changed to ALL and ONLY the steam numbers. Leave out : and letters. If you have a clan member who forgot pass or is having trouble changing the ID leave me the new ID in a PM on #igl-dod on gamesnet and when I return or see it I will get it fixed manually myself. All needed steam files are in our file section.

Steam and How We Will Transfer To It

Well the steam client is out for those of you having trouble finding it you can download it in our file section along with the windows and linux server files if you need them. Steam will not become mandatory untill WON is erased and SteamID takes over. Now when this happens, it is the clans responsibility to change their ID's. Currently our ID database only allows numbers, so what you will do with your SteamID is enter ALL the numbers and none of the : or letters. Do not change your ID untill we officially convert to Steam. Now if the server you play on is Steam and you have no other server to play on then go ahead but you will have to send me a list of your clans SteamID's that I will keep on record.
More to come when announcement of WonID will be officially erased.
**UPDATE**
Well it looks like ALOT of people deleted their old half life stuff when converting to steam as steam gives you this option during install. I had a feeling this was going to happen so what I am going to do is go ahead and reccomend that you get your clan updated to Steam. Matches will be allowed as always to be rescheduled till wednesday midnight. The majority of you should be updated to steam by then, however I am not going to enforce this weeks matches. If a match simply can't get played due to this mess that steam has created, I will simply delete the match and not count it. Those who play their matches will have them scored for them. There is a very high probability that steam will become mandatory for the playoffs, so it would be in your clans best interest to update. So go ahead and update your ID to all and only the numbers in your SteamID. If your clan is having trouble changing their ID, contact me in #igl-dod on gamesnet and I will do it for you. If I am afk just leave the information in a PM and I will get to it when I come back.
